To address the customer's specific needs, Jianjie developed customized organic pelletizing binder tailored to their raw material composition and production requirements. Through rigorous testing and optimization, we achieved the following results:

     · Binder Dosage: 0.04% (significantly lower than industry standards).

     · CCS Performance: 290KG-300KG, exceeding the customer's target.

     · Cost Efficiency: Reduced binder usage while maintaining superior pellet quality, leading to lower production costs.

(Suitable for Cold Briquettes Customers with Special Raw Materials, Without Drying Equipment)

Customer Three

Raw materials: 

       · Mill scale 60%(ph7)+Steel slag magnetic separation fines 10%(ph14)+Dedusting ash 30%


Challenges:  

       · Use briquettes as coolant in BOF converters to replace scrap.

       · No drying equipment available – briquettes must be air-dried.

       · Reduce production costs through lower binder dosage.

       · Binder must be free of calcium and magnesium to meet steelmaking requirements.

       · Need to achieve sufficient strength after 3 days of natural drying to meet BOF steelmaking standards.


Jianjie Solution:

Jianjie developed customized air-dried binder specifically designed for the customer's unique raw material composition and production constraints. Our solution addressed the following key challenges:

       · High pH Compatibility: Successfully managed the high pH levels of the raw materials (up to pH 14).

       · No Drying Equipment Required: Enabled briquettes to achieve the required strength through natural air-drying within 3 days.

       · Cost Reduction: Reduced binder usage and overall production costs by 10%.

       · Calcium- and Magnesium-Free Formulation: Met the strict composition requirements for BOF steelmaking.

Raw materials: 

  • 28% dedusting ash,68% slaked dedusting ash and 12% coke fines.
  • pH=14 1% active calcium oxide


Difficulty:  

  • To make metallized briquettes in the RHF(rotary hearth furnace) dezincification process.
  • Roasting under the high temperature of 1250℃,for 25-30min,RDI(reduction disintegrity index) will under 20%
  • low cost 


Jianjie Solution:

According to the raw material conditions and roasting requirements of customers, we have developed a customized binder that has both calcium resistance effect and pulverization reduction. After actual production tests, the briquettes produced using Jianjie binder did not disintegrate. and the customer's RDI(reduction disintegrity index) was reduced by 10%, thus helping customers save costs.

Customer Five

(Suitable for Briquettes Customers with Multiple Complex Raw Materials and High Moisture Content)

Customer Information:

Raw materials: 

  • iron ore powder(grade around 60,pH=7)
  • multi-mixture raw materials like iron-bearing dust(Finer grain size)
  • multi-mixture material like steel slag and iron-bearing sludge(8% moisture)


Difficulty:  

  • Used in small blast furnace to make sponge iron
  • CCS should up to 2000N
  • lower costs


Jianjie Solution:

We developed customized binder with high compressive strength and low cost based on the raw material conditions and furnace requirements of customers. After actual production tests, the dry strength of briquettes produced using Jianjie binder exceeded customer expectations and reached more than 2450N.

Customer Six

(Applicable to Customers Making Briquettes of Phosphorous Powder)

Customer Information:

Raw materials: 

  • Washed phosphorous powder, grade 28% 


Difficulty:  

  • Use in EAF to make phosphorus
  • The briquettes should have enough strength to resist the temperature of 500-800℃ 
  • There should be no pulverization and the cost should be reduced.


Jianjie solution:

After using Jianjie phosphorous powder binder, the thermal strength of the briquettes reached 120Kg after being roasted at 500℃ for 1h, and reached 95KG after being roasted at 800℃ for 1h. The customer also said that compared with the binder used before, it not only improved the high temperature resistance, but also increased the reference of the briquettes and the original ore by 30%.
